Michael Anthony Tatmon is an actor, playwright, producer, cultural storyteller, and the founder of In Living Colored. His artistic vision is rooted in the belief that the beauty, dignity, and humanity expressed onstage should also shape the institution behind the work. A formerly homeless and disabled United States veteran, Michael rebuilt his life while learning to navigate the lasting effects of his disabilities. That lived experience informs his holistic approach to leadership and the many expressions of In Living Colored—uniting theater, education, media, cultural exchange, community conversation, hospitality, and healing. Michael is also a Colorado-certified Peer Support Specialist and a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Loveland, Colorado. His faith and service inform his commitment to human dignity while honoring people across cultures, traditions, identities, and beliefs. Through In Living Colored, Michael is building more than a production company. He is creating an enduring cultural institution where historically marginalized voices receive the platform, professional infrastructure, and creative freedom necessary to tell their own stories—and where the values presented onstage are practiced with equal integrity behind the scenes.
